Position Overview: Project Managers (PMs) are the voice and face of Achurch Consulting to our clients. PMs own and lead multiple technology-focused client projects from concept to completion based on their expertise, capacity, and desire for learning. They are responsible for creating project plans, providing direction, communicating clearly with the entire project team, and driving results. The PM typically works in close partnership with a Business Analyst (BA), who lends consultative expertise to the project.
The PM may work on a variety of project types, including:
Technology Assessments
- Technology Selections, such as Association Management Systems, Learning Management Systems, Content Management Systems, etc.
- Software Implementations, such as Association Management Systems, Learning Management Systems, Content Management Systems, etc.
- Developing project management frameworks for clients
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and adhere to project plans
- Craft and coordinate client communications
- Gather and document system and functional requirements
- Ensure project milestones are met and reported
- Direct and participate in client meetings
- Communicate project information with client and third-party services
- Assign project tasks and follow up to ensure timely completion
- Respond to issues from project team members
- Escalate and communicate issues and changes affecting the project
- Initiate the closure of the project upon completion
- Work with Business Analysts to:
- Refine business processes for our clients
- Document workflows
- Document test cases
- Test functionality
- Create and validate standard operating procedures
- Define training approaches, outline training curriculum, and conduct training

Experience and Qualifications
- BA or BS degree required
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- 7+ years of experience working with nonprofits, associations, and/or fundraising organizations (including 501c3, 501c4, and/or 501c6)
- Previous experience managing technology-based projects
- Functional experience using, implementing, migrating, and upgrading enterprise CRM/ERP/AMS platforms
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Asana and Smartsheet preferred
- Technical aptitude and willingness to learn new tools

Position Overview: The Business Analyst (BA) is the expert consultative voice on technology transformations. They provide insight and creative solutions to support technology projects from concept to completion, working in tandem with a Project Manager. The BA provides strategic direction by defining project scope, identifying obstacles and tradeoffs, and troubleshooting to ensure programs remain on track and within budget. Tactically, each BA gathers information, performs detailed requirements analysis, documents processes, and finalizes all documentation.
Typical BA project activity may include:
- Technology Assessments
- Technology Selections, such as Association Management Systems, Learning Management Systems, Content Management Systems, etc.
- Software Implementations, such as Association Management Systems, Learning Management Systems, Content Management Systems, etc.
- Providing ongoing client support for various technology platforms
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and refine business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions for our clients
- Stay current with process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems
- · Ascertain and document workflows, test cases, and other business requirements
- Effectively communicate insights and plans to project team members
- Gather critical information from stakeholders and produce useful reports
- Test functionality
- Create and validate standard operating procedures
- Define training approaches, outline training curriculum, and conduct training
- Allocate resources, manage costs, and balance competing resources and priorities
- Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements
- Examples of work include:
- Working with customers to gather and document system requirements
- Creating workflow diagrams; redefining and creating business workflows
- Application testing
- Creating and performing system test scripts
- Creating and validating standard operating procedures
- System training, including creating the curriculum
- Assembling and updating project plans
- System selections and configurations

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis or a related field

- Technical aptitude and willingness to learn new tools

Position Overview: You will work both independently and with other project managers and business analysts leading a variety of technology-based projects. The projects range from selecting technology platforms for clients, conducting IT assessments, creating IT roadmaps, implementing software for clients, serving as a Fractional Chief Information Officer, providing general project and program management services, using business analysis skills to help enhance and optimize client processes, and coaching organizations and providing insights on best practices. The ideal candidate will possess a keen understanding of consulting methodologies, coupled with exceptional organizational skills to ensure project delivery aligns with client expectations and organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and coordinate the client’s IT initiatives
- Assess and anticipate client technology projects and recommend appropriate action and resources
- Manage and maintain client budgets
- Write and edit IT policies
- Write and edit requirements
- Ensure the client’s IT system operations adhere to applicable laws and regulations, as well as ensure compliance with contracts and service agreements from a technical and IT project performance perspective
- Deliver transparent communication with the team and the client’s executive management
- Test functionality
- Create and validate standard operating procedures
- Create project plans and perform project manager activities
- Work with customers to gather system requirements
- Document system and functional requirements
- Redefine and create business workflows and workflow diagrams
- Conduct industry research
- Create and contribute to industry and customer presentation preparation
