Jay Dennis
As a Fractional CIO with Achurch Consulting, Jay brings over twenty-five years of experience working in the tech, association, and government contracting fields. Prior to joining Achurch, he most recently worked as a Cloud architect for a global systems integrator providing Cloud strategy and migration tools to large government agencies, including the United States Department of Defense and the intelligence community.
Before transitioning to the government sector, Jay served as the CIO of a $40M DC area professional association where, among many other duties, he replaced legacy hardware and outdated software with modern integrated systems improving member access to services and cutting operating costs. This experience has provided him with a more balanced (vendor vs. customer) view of the world that enriches the experience of the customers that work with him.
Early in Jay’s career, he led two association management software (AMS) companies and developed, delivered, and supported enterprise-class solutions for hundreds of organizations across the country. These included some of the largest and most complex integrated systems. He was an active participant and speaker at ASAE industry events offering technical and management insight in a rapidly changing environment.
Jay lives in Virginia and enjoys tournament baseball and playing music. He earned his MS in Computer System Management from The University of Maryland, Global Campus.
